Pillars

EXPLORE PROPORTION, COLOR & COMPOSITION THROUGH SIMPLE SHAPES!

Pillars explores color interaction, proportion, and composition through simple rectangle-based blocks. Using repeated "pillars" and cap pieces, you'll discover how small changes in width, height, value, and placement can create dramatically different results.

This block study is part of the Block Studies Collective and includes both a downloadable PDF pattern and a full set of video tutorials.

The videos are packed with tips, techniques, and creative prompts to help you build confidence, experiment with composition, and better understand how color, value, and proportion work together in a quilt.

The instructions are great and the block can be done by a beginner. Lots of ways to make the block and explore with your own color palate. Another winner!

Great hand sewing tips. Never thought about how to stitch thru only 2 layers, moving seams out of the way.
